Black America is faced with yet another crisis surrounding the late George Floyd. The unarmed black man who was murdered by a white officer in 2020 has many people and corporations keeping his name alive. Unfortunately a federal complaint was made against the George Floyd Scholarship offered at North Central University in Minneapolis Minnesota. The scholarship is available to students who are Black or African American. Which means any other race would not be eligible, but some say the scholarship violates Title VI of the Civil Rights Act. To be brief the law prohibits discrimination based upon race and national origin. As of now, no decision has been made on whether the qualifications will change or remain.
