Another Government Shutdown Affecting Millions. What To Expect

The government shutdown is now in full effect. The shutdown has been brewing due to failed agreements regarding budget conflicts. Democrats demanded free healthcare for illegal aliens, climate and DEI funding for foreign nations while also requesting that funding for NPR and PBS be restored. There were other demands on the table which could have been agreed upon but the Trump Administration refuses to allow taxpayer dollars to be spent on healthcare for illegal aliens. Elected democrats claim that the Trump Administration wants to cut Medicaid benefits for Americans. Unlikely to happen when it has already been stated by the President when he first took office that Medicaid benefits will continue. Fraud, waste and abuse of benefits will be discontinued. Sources say Minority Leader (D) Chuck Shumer was willing to come to an agreement but radical left wingers pressured him not to settle. 

This situation leads to the closure of non-essential services and furloughs for federal employees. While essential services like national security and emergency response remain operational, many other functions are greatly affected. Federal workers are now scrambling in uncertainty not knowing if they will be permanently laid off. Now lets be clear and understand that elected democrats will continue to be paid throughout the shutdown, therefore it does not affect their pockets. 

The shutdown is a disruption for many who depend on the government. Government grants and loan applications will now be delayed. Agencies responsible for public health, environmental protection, and social services often deal with delays as well. However social security benefits will continue during the shutdown. Democrats have taken the risk of losing programs that benefit American citizens in order to protect the benefits of illegals.
