(D) Governor Kathy Hochul Tells Blacks Not To Buy Liquor With Their Rebate Checks

New York Governor Kathy Hochul is under fire for telling the black community not to buy liquor with their inflation rebate checks. Hochul visited a black church in Buffalo New York recently and as she proceeded with her speech she made a controversial statement that left some in shock. She informed the congregation that inflation rebate checks will be going out but shortly after she joked telling the congregation “dont stop by the liquor store, buy something for the kids, buy them some food”. While some found it humorous others say it was insulting. 

This isn't the first time Hochul has made racial remarks. Months ago Hochul made a comment saying “we have young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don't even know what the word computer is”. Her comments seem to become more offensive as time goes by. Her comments seem to indicate that she views black people  as uneducated irresponsible drunks. 

Furthermore, I assume we should expect more insulting rhetoric disguised as jokes from Governor Hochul in the future.
