In efforts to support federal workers in Maryland, Governor Wes Moore has launched a loan program to provide financial assistance for essential federal workers. This effort addresses the growing challenges faced by many federal employees, who are affected by the government shutdown. The program aims to serve as a safety net, ensuring workers have access to vital resources during this stressful time. The program offers federal workers a one-time loan of $700 which must be repaid within 45 days after the shutdown ends. This attempt will help employees manage their expenses and unforeseen financial burdens.
