It's been stated on several occasions that the Medicaid program will not be terminated but liberals are claiming that President Trump's plan is to end it. Reports show that 1 in 5 people depend on Medicaid in the United States. To think that the Trump Administration would cut off benefits that greatly help children, pregnant women, the elderly, and disabled citizens is a bit extreme. The republican party understands the need for this government program which is why they are working to improve it. Medicaid will be reformed to better assist those on the program by allowing them to be seen by a physician sooner without waiting months and getting access to medications that have been denied to those who need it most. Several other improvements will also take place.
This is yet another scare tactic that liberals are using to frighten the public. Encouraging the public to believe that Medicaid reform is not necessary, when indeed it is. Work requirements will be enforced when on the Medicaid program. Medicaid was created to help those in disadvantaged situations until the recipient is no longer eligible. Unfortunately the program has become a lifestyle and it is not working the way that it was originally intended to. Medicaid funding will be carefully reviewed and monitored to avoid wasteful spending, which benefits the economy as a whole.
