Delaware Governor John Carney recently signed a bill to ban smoking in vehicles while occupied with anyone under the age of 18. The Governor visited Wilbur Elementary School as students gathered around to witness the signing of the bill. Many hope that other states will eventually follow behind Delaware but nothing is certain. What is certain is that secondhand smoke is just as harmful to the non smoker as it is to the smoker. Many are feeling relief simply because they have fought for some time to make smoking in vehicles with minors illegal.
