Republicans Press Curtis Sliwa To Drop Out NYC Mayoral Race

Updated: Jun 29

Republican Candidate Curtis Sliwa is in the running to become the next Mayor of New York City. Sliwa is a die hard New Yorker who is encouraging residents not to move but to improve their city. Residents and those who work in the city are haunted by the increased violence throughout the city. Subway crimes have been one of the biggest complaints. A recent incident included a woman who was set on fire by an illegal alien. New York is desperate for safety and many believe that Curtis Sliwa will put a dent in the violent crimes the city has become accustomed to. Curtis Sliwa expressed that safety is his priority when it comes to improving NYC. Sliwa is well known in the city and is the founder of Guardian Angels, which was established in 1979 to help reduce crime on the New York City Subways. Although Sliwa offers logical common sense policies, he is pressured to drop out of the race and join forces with Eric Adams. By doing so would lessen the chances of Zohran Mamdani winning the election. Mamdani is considered to be a radical liberal whose policies are far fetched with no real plans to accomplish them.

Sources say Curtis Sliwa will not agree to dropping out of the race. Sliwa is confident he can win the election even though people in his own party have decided to support Eric Adams. Adams is running as an Independent and has solid support in NYC. It just makes sense for Sliwa to exit the race. Some hope Sliwa will put his pride aside and do what is best for the city.
