On November 4, voters will head to the polls to cast their ballots for various local and state offices, including the governor, state legislature, and other key positions. The political climate in Pennsylvania is dramatic with thick influence from both the Democratic and Republican parties. Understanding the candidates and their platforms will be crucial for voters as they make informed decisions.
Local elections can make or break your state. Too often we see people bypass local elections thinking it's pointless to vote. They couldn't be more wrong. Now is the time to decide if you’re content or miserable with the current state of your community. Rather than remain in what is, voters typically seek to improve their surroundings. Local leaders focus on our public transportation system, public safety measures, business & development plans and other day to day services.
Check your registration status online to avoid any last-minute surprises. If you plan to vote by mail, be sure to request your mail-in ballot well in advance. The deadline for requesting a mail-in ballot is usually a week before Election Day.
