Friday evening was a celebratory night for Philadelphia's Mayor Democrat Nominee Cherelle Parker who won the Primary Election. Now on her way to becoming the 100th Mayor and first black woman to hold the position, she is expected to win against her opponent David Oh on November 7th. Many came to celebrate her victory and acknowledge how hard she has worked to reach the level of success of where she is now. Cherelle has overcame many challenges by being a black single mother and not being as wealthy as her fellow candidates. Further in her speech she expressed she is committed to making the city safer and greener.
