America's President Joe Biden is finally adding his two cents as to why people should not be incarcerated for marijuana possession. He recently told the media that"no one should be in jail for using or possessing marijuana". He says "it's legal in many states, and criminal records for marijuana possession have led to needless barriers to employment, housing and educational opportunities". Now, we all know what race of people those "barriers"affect. If you are unaware of how this affects the black community please do your research. Black Americans are 3 times more likely to be arrested for the possession of marijuana. Biden's goal is to pardon all federal offenses involving simple marijuana possessions. Some believe this is only a political move. Questions continue to rise, as we all are wondering if Biden truly cares about the issues in black society.
