Keep your eyes peeled because there are some popular eye ointments that are being recalled due to a lack of sterility assurance at the manufacturing facility. The brands include Equate, CVS and AACE pharmaceuticals Lubricant eye ointment, sold in some CVS and Walmart stores. If used, a possible eye infection may occur. The expiration dates on these recalled items are February 2024 and September 2025. If you've used any of these products contact your health provider as soon as possible. It's been recorded that some users have gotten serious eye infections, causing eye surgery and even death.
